To start with we were asked to sketch textures from around our rooms as well as sketch our left hand and draw an ai generated portrait directly and upside down.
I went out to do location drawing around Hyde Park/Kensington Garden and found an ideal spot was in the Italian Gardens at the north of the park. I completed continuous line drawings in the background and then overlaid drawings of people I saw in the area.

I took many photos of the landscape but these were the few I felt had the most potential to be developed further.
Whilst I was in the area – I visited the Natural History Museum for inspiration and found myself finding small landscapes in the rocks and minerals I saw being exhibited.
From these two sets I’ve chose several to begin developing further very roughly.
From this series of sketches I picked a couple to continue working through.

I decided to go with my second concept of these three since I like the shot variation.
